Miami Light Project Programs Update
March 13, 2020
Dear Artists, Colleagues, and Friends of MLP:
Miami Light Project and Fundarte announce that our Global Cuba Fest 2020 finale concert at Miami-Dade County Auditorium on Saturday, March 14, 2020, has been postponed until further notice. We will send a broadcast announcement as soon as it is rescheduled.
Additionally, Miami Light Project has made the decision to suspend public programming at The Light Box and other venues where we have public programs through March 31, 2020. We will communicate decisions regarding the remainder of our season as we monitor the situation in the coming weeks.
The Light Box will remain accessible to our resident organizations and artists who have each put their own measures in place. Our MLP team will take turns working remotely in order to keep organizational operations uninterrupted. We have put cleaning measures in place which follow CDC guidelines, in order to keep everyone safe and healthy.
We will continue to monitor the COVID-19/Coronavirus situation, with our priority being the health of all of our community- artists, audience, colleagues and staff members.
We are following local, state, and federal recommendations and we will provide program updates in response to new developments surrounding COVID-19.
Peace and Love,
Beth Boone, Artistic and Executive Director
